Arizona Trip
Our trip to Arizona was fun packed 3.5 days. We of course got in some good Mexican food and my Dad made sure we had crab legs at one of his favorite buffets. John and I both said we didn't see Eleanor much. She was always way too busy playing with her cousins. Amy and Davey took me and John on great hike. It was fun just having Jude and Cecilia with us. And of course Jude had to get his bath in the kitchen sink. I'm pretty sure every grandchild has had at least one bath in this sink. I love making it a tradition for our family to spend Easter in Arizona each year. The weather was perfect and it was a lot of fun seeing family!

Year Two and Year Five Books
I got these little gems in the mail today. Both girls have studied every single page several times. I guess all the work is worth it!

Spring!
I'll be honest. I'm not usually a huge fan of spring time in Utah. I don't enjoy the wind and I don't love having snow one day and having it be blistering hot the next. However, this year I'm LOVING my Utah spring. We have had lots of rain and plenty of warm afternoons. Our flowers are starting to bloom and the trees are getting green. I just wonder how long our flowers will last before some little hands get to picking!

Fairy Party
While in Arizona for Easter, Mimi had all the grand kids over for a fun fairy party. I was surprised at how much the boys enjoyed it! Everyone had a great time. Mimi made everything so cute. She had matching white dresses for all the girls, wings for everyone to wear, face painting, Italian sodas, mini sandwiches, gnomes, a fair hunt, glowing balls, fairies and much much more. It was a lot of fun and all the cousins loved being together.

Before I Forget...
Today I asked Amelia how much she loved me and she answered, "like two sandwiches".
Yesterday I heard Eleanor tell Amelia, "Don't say boobies. They are called breast".

$.50 Puppet Show
The other night Eleanor put on a puppet show. Somehow she came up with the idea of charging $.50. Good thing we have such great neighbors who were willing to watch. The funny thing is Zack and Kate actually enjoyed.
Nights like this are making me anxious for summer. I love being outside and my kids enjoy it even more.

Topaz and Easter Egg Hunt
On Saturday we met up with John's family and headed out to Topaz Mountain for a little digging and picnic. Eleanor and Amelia have been into rocks lately, so they were both really excited for our little outing.
Eleanor and John were able to hike up the mountain and they found some really great pieces. Unfortunately, the wind got pretty bad, so me and the two little ones camped out in Jay's truck. Amelia discovered peeing outside and she got a little obsessed with it! It took me a little to convince her to pee on the rocks, but once she did it, it seemed like she just couldn't stop.
After all the digging, we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's house for an Easter egg hunt and for some pizza. Grandma put one $1.00 in an egg and all the grand kids were on a mission to get that egg. The first egg Amelia opened was the $1.00. She was pretty excited about her find, but her sister was quite upset she wasn't the one who found it. Needless to say we had a little lesson on attitude and not always winning. Other then the little melt down from Eleanor, it was a really fun day spent with cousins.
