Bryce Canyon

After the Grand Canyon we headed over to Ruby's Inn at Bryce Canyon. John's family were on their way home from Vegas and we all decided to meet at Bryce for a day. The last time we were at Bryce was back in 2007 and Eleanor was just a little baby. It was fun going back to the same hotel and doing the same hike we did five years ago.

We got lucky and made it to Sunset point just in time. Bryce is such a beautiful park! Eleanor was cracking me up with her posing. As you can tell, she was really proud of her outfit. Awesome!

The next morning John got up early and took the girls to Sunrise point. I stayed in bed with Jude and probably enjoyed that more then anything! We then met up with everyone for our hike. Jay stayed behind with Alex and she offered to keep Jude for us. It was nice not having to pack him around. We were all so proud of Amelia. She did the entire 1.6 mile hike all by herself! I thought for sure we'd have to carry her some but that little stink made it! She was pretty exhausted by the end. That little girl loves hiking. (Remember for her birthday we took her on a hike because its her favorite activity!)

Don't mind the photo overload. I just can't choose...

The Grand Canyon

On our way home from Arizona we decided to make a little stop at the Grand Canyon. We have never been to the South Rim so we thought it would be fun.  The girls enjoyed getting out of the car and running around. We climbed up to the little tower and Eleanor thought that was so cool. We only went to two different lookout points but we still enjoyed it all. One day I would like to do a hike down. It really is really beautiful!

Happy Easter!

Samuel's Blessing & Easter Egg Hunt

After all the baskets were opened, we headed over to Theron and Amanda's ward for Samuel's blessing. I am so mad I didn't get one photo of him. He looked so cute in his little white outfit. I'm excited that he and Jude are so close in age and can't wait until they become little buds!

Theron and Amanda had everyone over for a great Easter brunch and an egg hunt complete with a snowman pinata (left over from Christmas). All the kids had a great time and they got way too much candy! I

Easter Morning

John makes fun of me and says that I start thinking/shopping for the kid's Easter baskets the day after Christmas. This isn't entirely true, but I will admit I love planning for their baskets. Both Eleanor and Amelia are at such fun ages right now and it's fun getting them things I know they will love.

Eleanor was up way before the other too and so we decided to let her open her basket before Amelia and Jude got up. I feel bad I didn't really get many photos of Jude or Amelia, things got a little wild having all three opening and playing with things!

Normally the Easter Bunny leaves a trail of eggs leading to the kid's baskets, but this year the trail of eggs lead to gifts from John and me. Amelia was thrilled with her little red wiggle toy and she loved Jude's legos. Eleanor wasn't too thrilled about her new Razor (she prefers Amelia's toy) but I'm determined to get her ridding and enjoying the new scooter!!

Overall it was a very successful morning. It was a lot of fun watching the excitement. Now, every time Amelia finds a new toy or puts on a piece of clothing, she says she got it from the Easter bunny. It's pretty dang cute!
